Every time the Broncos win a game, I started Unreal Engine 4 and created a highlight reel using Lego characters.
I originally produced these in Cinema4D. There was a massive jump in render times. C4D would regularly clock in at 12 hours whereas Unreal produced the renders near real-time.
While the render times are significantly faster, the initial set up did take some time to get going. The greatest benefit was being able to utilize animations repeatedly without needing to recreate them each time, something I struggled with in Cinema4D.
My personal highlight was when the Broncos won the Super Bowl. It was a joy to recreate that game.
I've also made highlight reel for Notre Dame's 2016 season.
